You set the exchange
Try a ratio. You can change it for each kid whenever you like.

Apps unlock after the first 1 min of reading.

How it works
Add your kid
A first name or nickname, a ratio, and the topics they can read about. We don't ask for age, birthday or photos.
Link their iPhone or iPad
Open ReadFirst on the device and type a one-time link code. Your password never goes on your kid's device.
They read, the minutes add up
Reading in ReadFirst earns screen time at your ratio. You see reading per day, minutes earned and used, and whether blocking is still working.
What to expect
- Changes arrive when the app is opened
- A new ratio, a topic or bonus minutes reach the device the next time ReadFirst is opened on it. Emetli shows you when each change has arrived.
- Little is stored about your kid
- A first name or nickname, reading sessions, and totals of screen time. Not which apps they use, not where they are, no photos.
- You can delete everything
- Remove a kid or delete your account at any time. The data is deleted for good, not archived.
